"Perfidia" is the remake of the all-time favorite classic with iconic Jamaican artist Chaka Demus, released on his Bright Star Production label. Produced by both Chaka Demus and Grub Cooper.
On both works, the legendary Grub Cooper features as producer and co-producer, bringing unmatched musical brilliance to this back-to-back launch.

Today, Isha Bel continues to expand her international presence through both digital and physical vinyl releases across the global reggae community. Her recent works include the self-released single "Time Nah Wait" as well as a fresh remake of "Perfidia" alongside world-renowned Jamaican hitmaker Chaka Demus.
As the only Jamaican female artist featured on Splice Originals—the leading New York-based cloud samples company and sound library platform used by millions of producers globally—her vocal pack, Dub Reggae feat. Isha Bel, has earned over one million download credits. Through this platform, her vocal hooks, acapellas, and dubwise textures have been integrated into tracks by music producers and sound designers across the world.
Through her independent label, Kalinga Records, she released her acclaimed digital album Hear Me Now (One Woman Army)—which earned a spot on the 2020 Reggae Grammy Consideration List and hit "Album of the Week" on Reggae Record Japan—alongside singles like "Sister Sister" (with Miriam Simone), "Second Nature," and "Still A Make a Way."
Her vinyl footprint remains exceptionally strong in the roots and digidub scene, featuring O.B.F’s sold-out 12-inch "Nuh Call the Police" (the track that won the Irish & Chin 45 Soundclash competition), the "Ancestor Song" 45, the Cost of Living EP, and "Jah Nah Let You Go" with Black Legacy Records.
The beginning
Hailing from the vibrant and historic streets of East Kingston, Jamaica (Rockfort), Isha Bel’s musical lineage runs deep. Raised by her parents alongside her sisters, her passion for singing was heavily nurtured by her father, a great vocalist in his own right.
Her path to the public stage began early, guided by her grandmother and Mr. Fuzzy (singer and keyboardist for the legendary Mystic Revelation of Rastafari), who put her on her very first public stage. Choosing her artistic calling over a conventional 9-to-5 life, she launched her professional career as a member of the Jamaican vocal group 4th Street Sista, later touring and recording as a background vocalist for acts like Warrior King, Iley Dred, and LMS.
She later re-emerged as a powerful solo artist, producer, and community leader under the name Isha Bel—marking a deep spiritual and creative evolution in her career.
Evolution
Since her return to music, Isha Bel has remained fully committed to the creative process, continuously writing, recording and developing new material. Rather than being driven solely by recognition or fame, she views music as a mission of healing, inspiration and upliftment. She often describes herself as a bearing fruit tree — one whose purpose is to provide nourishment for others — sharing songs and stories that feed the soul, encourage reflection and bring positive vibrations to the lives of the people who receive them.

She has since performed on international stages including Electric Brixton in London, Leeds, and the UK's Reggaeland Festival, where she opened for Chaka Demus & Pliers. A defining moment in her career was performing her original composition Red, Black and Green at Jamaica's National Heroes Day Commemoration Ceremony honouring The Right Excellent Marcus Mosiah Garvey at National Heroes Park

Beyond music, Isha Bel has remained deeply connected to community empowerment and cultural preservation. Through Uplift East Movement, an initiative she founded to support communities in East Kingston, she has championed youth development, education, and assistance for vulnerable residents through various outreach programmes. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Uplift East provided educational support by helping students access online learning opportunities, while its community initiatives have continued to respond to local needs. Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, Isha Bel once again used her platform to support relief efforts and uplift affected communities, demonstrating her belief that an artist's responsibility extends beyond the stage. Her commitment to social impact has also been reflected through her work with the Indigenous Motherhouse Foundation, theatre initiatives, and programmes focused on preserving heritage and empowering future generations.
Looking ahead, Isha Bel continues to build a legacy rooted in music, memory and purpose. Her upcoming Rockfort Heart project represents a deeply personal creative journey, combining a new album with a book that chronicles her upbringing in Rockfort, East Kingston, and the experiences, people and cultural influences that shaped her identity as an artist.
